Suit Sizes Explained: How to Measure Yourself the Right Way

✦ DIMAY Journal · Sizing Guide ✦

"Between sizes? Not sure what 'Chest 48' means for you? This guide takes the guesswork out of online shopping — for good."

Shopping online should feel as easy as trying on in-store — and it can be, once you know how to measure yourself correctly. All you need is a soft measuring tape and two minutes. Let's walk through it step by step.

1

Chest

Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, keeping it parallel to the floor. Breathe normally — don't hold your breath or pull the tape tight.

💡 Wear a light layer while measuring. Thick clothing adds centimeters you don't actually have.
2

Shoulder

Measure across the back, from the edge of one shoulder bone to the other. Stand relaxed — hunched shoulders give a false reading.

3

Waist

Measure around your natural waistline — the narrowest part, usually just above the belly button. Keep one finger between the tape and your body for the right fit.

💡 Measure in the morning for the most accurate number — after meals, waists expand (as they should!).
4

Hips

Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your hips and bottom, feet together. Check in a mirror to make sure the tape is level all the way around.

5

Arm

Measure from the top of your shoulder down to your wrist, with your arm slightly bent. This ensures the sleeve length sits exactly where it should.

Measurement Size Chart

Our official chart — all measurements in CM, and they refer to your body measurements:

SIZE S M L XL 2XL 3XL
Chest 45 48 50 54 56 58
Shoulder 37 38 39 40 41 43
Arm 14 16 18 20 22 24
Waist 38 40 42 46 48 50
Hips 52 54 56 60 62 64
💡 How to read it: Find your measurement in the row, then follow its column up to your size. Example: your chest is 48 cm → your size is M.
⚠ Important: The chart above shows the body measurements each size fits — not the garment itself. If your measurements fall between two sizes, we recommend sizing up for a more relaxed fit, or contact us first.
